Central Africana's huge photo-library is core to its Malawi publishing efforts. This library contains over half a million transparencies and scans. It allows the company to publish for its clients, books, reports, brochures and calendars, diaries, which can draw on this resource without the trouble and expense of acquiring new or special photography of the country.

While the company intends to create a special search and purchase facility for its photography in digital form, at present the use of the library is restricted to its widening client base.

Central Africana has specialised in the past fifteen years on very high quality reports and calendars, which often feature print finish effects such as spot varnish and metallic foiling/blocking, unavailable elsewhere in Malawi.

The company is able to provide or recommend researchers and editorial consultants and can offer, to very large programmes and projects, a complete publishing service which starts with interviews and desk research and ends with delivery of a polished publication, report or review.

Clients have been so satisfied with publishing handled on their behalf by Central Africana that they come back, year after year, often for ten, fifteen years, and to the extent the company has now built up a market outside of Malawi for the quality of its work.
